The abandoned gold mine and stamp mill was selected for filmed cuts in season six's "The Hostage". Shooting took place for 6 days in May of 1964. It also has the distinction of being the only episode of the series which had filmed segments made at this particular region and nearby Holcomb Valley.

DIRECTIONS: Take Hwy 18, on the east side of Big Bear lake and you will turn on Van Dusen Canyon Road, and it will lead you to the mine.
