       The summit region was selected for filmed cuts of "Bonanza" episodes in the 1969-71 period of the series. This high and remote region was filmed for episodes such as "A Darker Shadow", "The Medal", "Danger Road", "A Single Pilgrim", "The Prisoners" and "Cassie".

DIRECTIONS: Take the I-5 North, all the way to the top of the Grapevine, and exit left on Frazier Park Road, which splits off into two roads: Lockwood Valley Road to the left, and Mount Pinos and Cuddely Valley Roads to the right.  The summit is steep and remote. Be cautious when exploring the paved and dirt roads at the region. There are no public facilites nearby.
