Bonanza Rerun Introduction

The following represents the Bonanza episodes that were reran from 1959 to 1973, during the late spring/summer months through late fall, a week prior before the next season of first-run episodes would begin a new season.       A total of 231 first-run episodes were reran, selected by David Dortort, just prior to the start of the summer rerun months, which would run from May to September the first eleven years, and the last two seasons, from April through September.  The figures below state the number of first-run episodes that were reran, per season, and any episodes from seasons nine through eleven, which were reran during Bonanza's thirteenth year, as NBC was running two sets of them, one under "Bonanza", and the other under "Ponderosa".  The only episode that was reran from the fourteenth season was "Stallion".  Some episodes from the tenth and eleventh seasons were reran during Bonanza's twelfth season also.

Season Eleven~19 episodes reran In addition to the above: Note: Eight season eleven episodes were reran, five of them under "Ponderosa", and three others were reran during Bonanza's season thirteen summer rerun months in summer of 1972. Season Twelve~14 episodes reran In addition to the above: Note: Five episodes from season ten were reran, and one episode was reran from the eleventh season during the summer rerun months in 1971. Season Thirteen~10 episodes reran In addition to the above: Note: Four episodes from season nine, four episodes from season ten, and three episodes from the eleventh season were reran in the summer rerun months of 1972. Ponderosa~15 episodes from seasons nine, ten, and eleven were reran under the title "Ponderosa", from May to August of 1972.  Two episodes from season nine, eight episodes from season ten, and five episodes from the eleventh season at 7:30 PM on Tuesdays.
